Masterclass Upanishads

Masterclass Upanishads

The Upanishads are esoteric , philosophical treatises and are considered sacred in Hinduism. They belong to the shruti , directly transferred in knowledge to humanity.

The Upanishads describe the mystical and metaphysical value of the hymns and precepts, partly based on the four Vedas. The oldest Upanishads originated in the Vedic period (about 800 BC).

The word Upanishad literally means 'to sit down with' and refers to the student sitting at the feet of the master. The teachings of the Upanishads have been elaborated in Vedanta philosophy. The main 108 Upanishads have been commented on Adi Shankaracarya

Pandit and Grandmaster in Yoga Klaas Stuive MCM has translated 12 Upanishads from Sanskrit and English, with personal explanations, from classical Yoga. He unveils in understandable language the hidden science behind words and metaphysical/metaphorical expressions.

His most recent translations are the two oldest, namely Brihadaranyaka and Chandogya Upanishads published by the Academy Raja Yoga Netherlands. In addition, in one bundle, well-known and lesser-known 10 Upanishads.
