Mindfulness Therapy

Mindfulness Therapy

Mindfulness is an English expression whose origins lie in classical Yoga. It is part of the eightfold path of Patanjali and falls under classical kriya yoga.

Mindfulness has been practiced for thousands of years in the Himalayan tradition and is comparable to the Buddhist mindfulness training, known as Vipassana.

Pandit and Grandmaster in classical Yoga Klaas Stuive bases the course on the so-called Mindfulness Original Based Approach (MOBA), recognized by the association of Collaborating Yoga Teachers in the Netherlands.

Mindfulness is:

  • A form of meditation in which you, as an 'observer', become aware of the physical and mental sensations and situations of the moment: conscious attention
  • An attitude characterized by acceptance of inevitable negative and positive experiences: acceptance
  • A healthy consciousness to deal with experiences: prevention

In this online mindfulness therapy course you will learn skills to pay more conscious attention to your mental and physical complaints, such as shortness of breath, headaches, insomnia, post-traumatic stress, and you will learn to accept these and prevent them in the future.

People with burnout symptoms in particular benefit from this course. The course has a therapeutic character. You therefore register for at least 10 lessons.

This online course takes place on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM. You can join at any time.
